The easiest way left to score big points? Sign up for the Pro or Amateur editions of the So Cal Disc Golf Championships. Participants in these events earn extra bonus points for every event they competed in all year long!!!

Jeff Nichols has just reported in with the latest standings for the 2026 SoCal Series!

April is upon us, and that means we have updated leaders for the 2026 SoCal Series courtesy of points wizard Jeff Nichols.

The schedule is jam packed with events, so there is still plenty of time to make a run for the title in your division.

The series is off to a screaming start with 8 events coming up in March and April. Don’t miss your change to register for these great events!

3/7 (Sat) – Cowtown Throwdown

3/13 – 3/15 (Fri-Sun) – The Yucaipa Open

3/21 – 3/22 (Sat-Sun) – Battle at Brengle

3/22 (Sun) – Ice Bowl in Paradise at Chavez Ridge

It’s barely the middle of January, but we’ve already had two SoCal Series events contested in the 2026 race. And that means our heroic statistician, Jeff Nichols, has provided us with some series standings.

IMPORTANT: Only current SoCal members earn points!***

***If you want to contend for a series title in your division (or The Nichols Cup, or SoCal’s Iron Golfer) and you competed in The Billy Goat – Fallen Disc Golfers Memorial OR the Cowtown Christmas Classic, please re-up your membership by January 31st to receive those points.

After that, the grace period ends, and we send your points to the island of lost discs, never to be seen again.

The accolades keep coming. Please join us in celebrating the inaugural winners of the Nichols Cup (most series points scored, unlimited events, unlimited divisions) and Iron Golfer (most series events played).

Hailey Fitzgerald took the Nichols Cup by the slimmest of margins in the women’s field. 12 victories positioned her in a dead heat with Hae Jung Cho for most series points. But Hailey got over the top with 17 points at the Pro Edition of the So Cal Championships. Battling horrible conditions, this young woman showed true determination all year long.

Hae Jung Cho is named SoCal’s first Iron Golfer! Contesting 14 events in 2025, she exemplified consistency and competitive spirit. She was inches from sweeping the Nichols Cup and Iron Golfer awards, in addition to (of course) dominating FA50. Congratulations on an incredible season!

On the Men’s side… who else could it be? One of SoCal’s friendliest faces, Randall Cook wins BOTH the Nichols Cup and Iron Golfer. Randall played in 22 events this year– one more than James Bandy– and scored 412 points– one more than Chris Brophy. Randall is truly dedicated to SoCal Disc Golf, and battled all year to claim these titles.

The Nichols Cup will be awarded to one male and one female club member who accrue the most total series points throughout the year, across all amateur, professional, age-protected, and gender-protected divisions, without regard to the traditional “7-best-events cap.” The award is named in honor of our long-time volunteer statistician Jeff Nichols.

SoCal’s Iron Golfer will be awarded to one male and one female club member who compete in the most So Cal Series events throughout the season. Last year Ronnie Bloomfield, aka Mike Coleman, aka Tony Stark, played a staggering 18 series events. Let’s see if anyone can top him in 2025.
